SMS Terms

The program

Mise is restaurant software. Restaurants that use Mise can text their guests about a reservation or a waitlist spot: a booking confirmation, a reminder the day before, a cancellation notice, and a text when a waitlist table is ready. Every text starts with "Mise:" and names the restaurant. Mise does not send marketing or promotional texts.

How guests opt in

Online, the restaurant's reservation form has an unchecked box beside the phone field. Mise texts a guest who books online only if they check it. The box reads:

Text me about this booking. By checking this box, you agree to receive text messages from Mise for this restaurant: reservation confirmations, reminders, and waitlist table-ready alerts. Message frequency may vary. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Consent is not a condition of booking. We will not share mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.

In person, the host asks before adding a guest's number to the waitlist or to a reservation taken by phone. The form and the host's question are shown on our text message opt-in page. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of booking.

Sample messages

• Mise: Hi Ana, your reservation at Cucina Verona is confirmed! Date: Friday, March 20 at 7:00 PM Party size: 2 Confirmation #: 8F3A21C4 Reply CXL to cancel your reservation. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.
• Mise: Hi Ana, this is a friendly reminder about your reservation at Cucina Verona tomorrow. Date: Friday, March 20 at 7:00 PM Party size: 2 We look forward to seeing you! Reply CXL to cancel.
• Mise: Hi Ana! A table for 4 is now available at Cucina Verona. Please arrive within 15 minutes to be seated. Reply YES to confirm.

Frequency and cost

Message frequency may vary; most guests receive two or three texts per reservation. Msg & data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Stopping texts

Reply STOP to any Mise text to stop all Mise texts, from every restaurant. STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, OPTOUT also work. We confirm once and then send nothing more:

Mise: You are unsubscribed and will receive no further messages. Reply START to resubscribe.

Reply START or UNSTOP to opt back in:

Mise: You are subscribed to reservation and waitlist texts. Message frequency may vary. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.

To cancel a reservation without stopping texts, reply CXL.

Reply HELP or INFO to any Mise text, or email support@mise.restaurant. The reply reads:

Your mobile number

We will not share mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. We do not sell phone numbers. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except the messaging provider that delivers the texts for us. The restaurant you booked with sees the number you gave it.
